Banana nut bread is a classic dessert that many of us enjoy. It’s easy to make and can be eaten for breakfast, dessert, or as a snack. The problem with most banana bread recipes is that they tend to be dry and not very moist. But fear not, this recipe will solve that problem. Here is the recipe for super moist banana nut bread.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

Baking Process
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 9x5 inch (23x13 cm) loaf pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Add the melted butter and stir until well combined.
  3. Add the sugar, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture and stir until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir until just combined. Don't overmix.
  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
  7. Remove the banana nut bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove the bread from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  9. Slice and serve.

Tips

Banana Bread Tips
  • Make sure to use very ripe bananas, the riper the bananas, the sweeter and more moist the bread will be.
  • Don't overmix the batter, mix until it's just combined, overmixing can result in a tough, dry bread.
  • You can substitute the walnuts with pecans if you prefer.
  • If you don't have a 9x5 inch loaf pan, you can use an 8x4 inch (20x10 cm) loaf pan. The bread will just be a little thicker.
