Banana Bread With 2 Bananas And Brown Sugar

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).

2. Mash 2 ripe bananas in a mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of softened unsalted butter. Mix well.

3. Add 2 eggs, one at a time, and mix well after each addition. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix well.

4. In a separate bowl, mix 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and mix well.

5. If desired, add 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts to the batter and stir until evenly distributed.

6. Pour the batter into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.

7. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing it to a wire rack to cool completely.

• For a healthier option, substitute half of the all-purpose flour for whole wheat flour.
• If you don't have unsalted butter on hand, you can use salted butter and omit the additional salt.
